I have enjoyed working with
Access as a consultant since version 2.0 was released in 1993. I work with
other software development / database / reporting tools as well. But the nice thing
about this product is that it enables a Microsoft Access consultant to deliver a database solution
in a much shorter time frame than is usually the case with other development products.
Of course, there is no "one size fits all" solution out there. Access
might not be a good fit for your particular business needs. But for many businesses,
and even on a departmental level in larger corporations, it can be
used to create very functional database applications that not only meet the needs
of the business or department, but do so in a very cost effective way.
How Consultants may help
Are you in need of having a consultant design a custom database
solution to help you manage your business? Are there business processes that you
or your employees now perform manually that could be automated?
If you are currently using packaged software to manage your business, could a
consultant use Access to give you enhanced sales analysis or sales
commission reports not available in your current software application? Do you currently
have an Access application that is in need of some changes, but the original
consultant is no longer available?
Please send me an email describing what you would like to have done, or with any
questions that you may have.
